If the child is developing in each milestone. Description of the child care centre the child care is a family child care. 5 children was in the day care and two teachers: main teacher and assistant. The day care is very nice, spacious, very child care friendly, safe. Separate nap room, two main play room the children to play, near the park and outside had enough space for them to play. Day care was decorated with children art work, ABCs but not super to much. They have two big windows so they can see outside. For a family child care i think it was a very good environment. Childs age The child was three years old but turn four years old few days before i left and we had a mini celebration. About the child The child is the only child at home but has one cat and dog. The mom is a single parent but has support from grandfather. Child goes to grandpa every weekend after therapy or mom drops him off friday afternoon. Is the child receiving support? The child has his own social work, he also goes to therapy every weekend. They pick him up and drop him off. Says words like I, me, we, and you and some plurals (cars, dogs, cats) Talks well enough for strangers to understand most of the time Carries on a conversation using 2 to 3 sentences Cognitive (learning, thinking, problem-solving) Can work toys with buttons, levers, and moving parts Plays make-believe with dolls, animals, and people Does puzzles with 3 or 4 pieces : Child does puzzle easily and can remember what it looks like Understands what two means Copies a circle with pencil or crayon Turns book pages one at a time Builds towers of more than 6 blocks : Child plays blocks and builds many towers and pretend a castle : teachers told me that child loves to play with blocks and puzzle, he can play with blocks for hours. Screws and unscrews jar lids or turns door handle Movement/Physical Development Climbs well : Child climbs slide stairs with no help Runs easily : the child was running fast when child saw the dog Pedals a tricycle (3-wheel bike) Walks up and down stairs, one foot on each step 4 Years Old Social and Emotional Enjoys doing new things Plays Mom and Dad Is more and more creative with make-believe play Would rather play with other children than by himself Cooperates with other children Often cant tell whats real and whats make-believe Talks about what she likes and what she is interested in : Child plays with ABC and tells me that child enjoys ABC cards, puzzle. ( While and i were playing with ABC cards for almost two hours)
