A breakdown from my professor:

Milestone Two provides you with an opportunity to obtain valuable feedback from me that you can incorporate into your final project submission.

First, review the work you have completed so far and the suggested list of Example Issues and Topics for Final Project. Based on your analysis from Milestone One and Module Three’s content, select an issue and a topic that relates to diversity. Keep in mind that, in Milestone Three, you will create recommendations to address this issue. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

I. Issue: For this part of the assessment, you will introduce the issue and how it relates to issues of diversity and any of the topics that have been discussed in the course.

A. Using appropriate research strategies, describe a social or global issue that is related to issues of diversity.

1. What is the origin of the issue?

2. What is the issue about?

B. Using appropriate research strategies, describe the target population of the issue.

1. Who is impacted by the issue?

2. What is important to know about the target population?

C. Using appropriate research strategies, explain how the chosen issue relates to a topic discussed in this course.

1. In other words, how can you connect the social or global issue you have chosen with a topic discussed in this course?

2. How does the topic inform your understanding of the issue?

D. Using relevant research or diverse perspectives, assess how the chosen issue is impacting the target population.

Milestone Two must be submitted as a 2- to 3-page Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Support your responses with at least 2 sources from the assigned course resources, including your textbook and other scholarly sources located independently via the Shapiro Library. Cite your supporting sources in APA or MLA format.

Note that the grading rubric for this milestone submission is not identical to that of the final project. The Final Project Rubric will include an additional “Exemplary” category that provides guidance as to how you can go above and beyond “Proficient” in your final submission.

If you need anything or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
